Day-by-Day Itinerary
Transfer from Arusha to Machame Gate. Trek through dense rainforest alive with colobus monkeys. Arrive Machame Camp for first night on the mountain.
Emerge above the treeline into moorland plateau. Stunning views of Kibo summit. Arrive Shira Camp.
Acclimatisation day climbing to Lava Tower (4,600m) then descending to Barranco Camp (3,950m) — a classic 'climb high, sleep low' acclimatisation strategy.
The famous Barranco Wall scramble — thrilling exposed ridge climbing. Continue through the alpine desert to Barafu Camp, the launch pad for summit night.
Midnight departure under the stars. Ascent through Stella Point (5,756m) to Uhuru Peak at sunrise. Descend to Mweka Camp. Your greatest achievement.
Final descent through rainforest collecting your summit certificate at Mweka Gate.
Transfer back to Arusha hotel. Celebration dinner and debrief. Certificate presentation ceremony.
